About
I’m Armin Ovaisy-Moakhar, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I work with adults who are capable, thoughtful, and outwardly functioning, yet feel unsettled, disconnected, or stuck on the inside — often without a clear reason why.
Many of the people I work with grew up having to adapt early. They learned how to manage, perform, and push through difficult situations, but didn’t always receive the emotional safety, attunement, or consistency needed to feel grounded in themselves or secure in relationships. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, emotional numbness, or difficulty trusting others.
HOW I Work
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and paced with care. I believe meaningful change happens not through forcing insight or quick fixes, but through creating enough safety to gently explore what shaped you and how your nervous system learned to cope. Together, we work to make sense of your experiences, listen to what your body has been carrying, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more steady and grounded.
I draw from evidence-based trauma therapies, including EMDR, Brainspotting, and parts-based approaches, to support deeper emotional processing — especially when talking alone hasn’t been enough. I also work with individuals and couples, using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help restore safety, trust, and emotional connection in relationships.
I aim to offer a space that is calm, respectful, and non-judgmental — where you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. Change starts with showing up as you are, and moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
